Ménage booking procedure

Ménage booking procedure

  • The chart operates Sunday to Saturday as week ending. Only one chart is in use at any given time. Once the chart moves from one week to the next the previous chart will become blank except for repetitive lesson slots in red. The blank chart will become available from l2 noon on a Saturday and the process repeats.
  • The ménage is available for one-hour slots except for Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 6pm inclusive. During these times, the ménage can only be used for 30-minute slots. The last booking being 5:30pm. Professional lessons cannot take place during these slots.
  • All instructors must register with Management, supplying documentation before attendance.
  • It is the responsibility of the person booking the ménage to remove their name from the board if no longer in the position to use the ménage. Where possible, notify others on social media. Please note, if names are repeatedly entered or cancelled and the ménage is not used or names removed too late for others to use it, then a levy of £10.00 will be charged.
  • If the person booking the ménage is not present at Park Farm 10 minutes before the time slot then the booking will be voided, and the ménage will be open for general use.
  • The ménage will be levelled twice weekly weather permitting, however, if you require the ménage levelling to order please enquire with livery services.
  • Weekly fixed lessons can be booked within the time parameters subject to that time being agreed with management. Fixed lessons/Test recordings/Physio/saddle fitting only should be denoted in red. When booking please use the horse’s name.
  • The ménage can accommodate two horses at any one time. Sharing is preferable; however, I appreciate this is not always possible.
  • It is important that individuals do not book repetitive slots other than authorised lessons, exercising consideration to others who may wish to use ménage.
  • Please make sure all the points stated below are observed:
  1. Close the ménage gate after use.
  2. Remove horse muck from the ménage to container provided after use.
  3. Controlled riding only.
  4. Controlled lungeing only.
  5. No loose exercising permitted.
  6. Remove jumps/poles after use.
  7. Do not climb on gates or fences.
